On my way Home

Its taking forever

So this looks like it may be my very last blog... so sad i know.

At the moment i am seated in New Zealand airport... the very same spot i did one of my first ever blog entrys. Its been a long day, Due to STA travel screwing my flights over here was the resulted outcome of events.

Monday - In Chicago, fly out at midday to Phoenix, Arizona which took 4 hours... then a two and a half hour stop, before flying to LA which took and hour and half. In LAX i had to wait 4 and a half hours for my flight to New Zealand that took 13 hours and arrived at 6am this morning. Now i have to wait till 4pm, yes ten hours in Auckland airport, until my sydney flight that takes 3 and a half hours takes of and lands back home at 5.30pm sydney time.

What a day... its been so long, im so tired and frustrated but yet still very excited to get back home, see everyone at the airport, and everyone else in the next few days.

So overall my trip has been absolutely amazing... when i think back over all the things that i did, all the people i met and all the stories i have... i really cant believe i did all the things i did this summer in America. I really hope that i may be able to do camp again next year, but we'll just wait and see.

Thankyou for everyone that followed my blog and i hope you enjoyed following the adventures of this 21 year old and his trip of a lifetime.

One last time Peace... im out
Love ya all

Trying to recover from vegas

Im home in a week

Ok so as u know i was in denver and was a wedding crasher as u can see below
DenverVegas_020.jpg

the view of the rocky mountains was absolutely amazing... just wish i could see it in winter

DenverVegas_005.jpg

Ok so the big news first.... i came out on top, yes basically vegas turned out to be a free week, i came out in front enough to pay off, airfares to and from, accomadation, food, two cirque de soleil shows and all the alcohol i wanted, plus i had two complimentary buffets thrown in as well.

I played a total of 4 tournaments ranging from $60 - $220, and i finished in the money twice so very happy with myself... i spent probably a total of 8 hours one early morning in the famous bellagio poker room... wich really took me to the test and am proud to say that i came out a few hundred in front and my head up very high.. made some huge calls and also got lucky a few times but at least i can admit that. Though the main room i spent my time in was the MGM mirage which was to me a very solid and well run poker room. Its also amazing playing across the room from two huge 500 pound lions trapped behind three inches of glass!! The MGM also took very good care of me and even gave me a few complimentary vip vouchers to there huge and quite expensive all u can eat buffet.. it was amazing!! There drink service was top of the line as well, must have drank a thousand vodka redbulls there for free.

The photo above and below is at the MGM mirage and u may also notice that on my left is the prison break tv star Wade Williams, he plays the prison guard in the first series.. he was such a loose player and am happy to say i took over half his chips.

Also i fell in love with three card poker, which i could play forever... maybe the highlight of a straight flush at a min $10 ante and pair bonus table which netted nearly $500 could be the main reason for that. The real highlight however was a hour and half three way battle in a $120 tournament at the MGM in which i got very unlucky wit my kings falling to a AK when he hit a one card flush on the river.. it hurt but i did extremely well and recieved a little over $800.

I also had the amazing oppurtunity to see two amazing shows by the Cirque de Soleil.. firstly Mystere at Treasure Island and secondly "O" at the Bellagio... which was just amazing and words really cant describe how good it was and how much it honestly moved me.
Check a preview of O out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYaLLX_bF7c

This was the view from my room

The beautiful and amazing Bellagio fountains

So yeah overall it was just an amazing time... i played, partyed, got to see shows and experience the best vegas had to offer.
So now im just back in Chicago chilling out for a week.. ready to return home in bout a week and cant wait to see everyone very very soon. Its sad that its coming to an end but ive had such an amazing time and i cant wait to see all my family and friends.

Im in Miami

Ok so i have just arrived in Miami... been here for three or so hours and its amazing, so beautiful and so many good looking people, clubs, pubs and restaurants everywhere!!

Probably the closest thing to the gold coast anywhere but much more nicer, and so many hispanic people its awesome.
No waves but south beach is great, goes for ever, chairs and cabanas everwhere, people running, cycling and rollarblading... so far we've just been drinking, thats our exercise.

Left New York this morning and i think it was about time... so very busy and i did so much walking, yesterday i went and saw ground zero, i was wit two other people and i didnt say a word for about an hour it just took my breath away... very sureal and weird feelings.

Also walked up the main fasion/rich/expensive shopping street and I just couldnt believe how many upper class shops could be in one street, after that i went to central park and walked through there for awhile, very big yet very nice!

Ok so theres about 6 of us all together at the moment with anothe 4 joing tomorrow so should be some fun, though i just wanna sleep on the beach and save some money, after all vegas is just around the corner!!

Ok will update soon again.. trying to get my pictures from camera to cd so i can then upload a few for u all to see.

Love Nate

Im in New York

and its hot!!!

Hey guys,

yes its been awhile again and alot has been happening. Just flew in to jfk airport in new york from chicago, about 3hours ago.

So where to start, well Green Bay was fun... the NFL game was amazing, i sat 2nd row 50 yard line behind all the players and got to chat to a few as well (Thanks to a mate playing for them, the punter David Lonie), so yeah it was an amazing experience and to think it was only a preseason game in the rain and they had over 70,000 people.

We the caught a greyhound down to Chicago, which broke down less then half an hour after taking off.... never wanna catch a greyhound again.
Got to Chicago and met up wit some many people, mainly campers and counselors from camp, it was fun to see where they've all grown up.... and when u see some of the pics of there house's its not a bad way to grow up!!

At the moment i have just checked into my hostel in new york, upper west side near central park. Im here for just one night and then off to another hostel in Time Square wit a mate Jack for three nights and then we fly to Miami. So yeah about to go get changed go for a walk through central park and then maybe go on a pub crawl that the hostel runs.

Ok well must be off my times about to run out, Love u all and talk soon!!

Nate
